ENEPORTS

Decarbonization and Digitalization of Atlantic Ports

ENEPORTS aims to demonstrate the essential role of digitalization on port decarbonization and on efficient consumption of renewable energy.

Maximizing the Potential of Renewable Energy

ENEPORTS assess the opportunity to deploy, in port areas, test-beds for innovative renewable energy technologies.

These test-beds will increase available renewable energy technologies within renewable energy projects. This will drive technological and economic development, creating energy communities in their surroundings and fostering economic conversion of decaying sectors.

Digitalization is Efficiency

We will collect and process power-related data for optimizing energy utilization and predict the demand.

Our challenge is to increase efficiency in managing renewable energy and hybridize technologies in a safe way, maintaining power quality by involving digitalization and intelligent algorithms.

Innovation for Smart Energy Flows

Data obtained will be used to create models for power system simulation and digital twins for energy sources.

Digitalization, monitoring and control of the energy ecosystem, with the implementation of an intelligent digital platform for energy management, will allow to control power flows and to establish internal energy market rules at each port area.

Creating Energy Ecosystems for European Port Authorities

The ENEPORTS project has been co-financed as part of the European Interreg Atlantic Area cross-border cooperation programme via the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to the tune of 2.1 million of a total budget of 2.8 million
